China Mobile Communications Corporation plans to invest in Myanmar’s telecommunications sector. It will establish a firm, Myanmar Mobile Company, in accordance with the Foreign Investment Law and the Companies Law of Myanmar. The move by China Mobile is in line with its plans to tap into Myanmar’s telecom market that is characterised by low teledensity.
