China Gezhouba Group to build 1.2 GW hydropower plant in Indonesia

The China Gezhouba Group (CGG) has signed a $1.6 billion contract with PT Indonesia DafengHeshun Energy Industri to build the 1,200 MW Data Dian hydropower project in North Kalimantan (Indonesia). As part of the five-year engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, CGG will oversee the design, construction material and procurement for and commissioning of the plant. The project is expected to be commissioned by 2025, at the earliest.
