ChargEV, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced plans to replace its network old EV charging infrastructure with new units across Malaysia. The new charging stations will use Type 2 connector cables that are included with the charging outlets. The company has started the installation of the updated chargers at Sungei Wang Plaza and Viva Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya, IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, Setia City Mall in Shah Alam, Sunway Giza in Kota Damansara, Saville at The Park in Bangsar and the Mines Shopping Mall in Seri Kembangan.

The ChargEV network has more than 400 charging outlets across Malaysia, with a maximum capacity of producing 22 kW of energy. Chargers rated at 3.7 kW and 7.4 kW are also part of the network.
