The contract for the $1.57 billion Changi Airport’s Project Jewel has been awarded to a JV of Woh Hup and Obayashi Singapore. The contract also involves expansion works for Terminal 1 (T1): a larger arrival hall, spacious baggage claim areas, and a five-storey basement car park. The project will be largely built on the 3.5 hectare car park site facing T1. It will cover a 1.4 million square foot complex with retail outlets and airport services.
