Passenger traffic at Changi Airport reached 5.1 million in December 2013, 4.1 per cent higher than the December 2012 figure. Cargo volume stood at 157,462 tonnes, a marginal decline of 0.3 per cent compared to the December 2012 figure. Changi Airport handled a total of 30,923 aircraft in December 2013. In 2013, 53.7 million passengers went through Changi Airport, exceeding the 2012 figure by 5 per cent. Reported cargo volume and aircraft movement rose by 0.8 per cent and 5.9 per cent to reach 1.9 million tonnes (mt) and 343,765, respectively. The busiest routes reported by the airport included Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Manila. Meanwhile, Indonesia remained Changi’s top destination with over 7.4 million passengers during 2013, constituting an increase of 8.8 per cent.
