Thailand-based CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited (CK) has signed a contract for implementing the upgrade works of the Blue Line of the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network. The contract has been valued at THB6.8 billion (excluding taxes). The duration of this contract will be 1,260 days.
The scope of work includes procurement of 21 trains and installation of signalling and communication systems on these procured trains. The scope of work also includes undertaking improvements on the central signalling system, the central communication system, and the remote-control system.
