Malaysia-based operator Celcom Axiata has awarded a three-year contract to Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) for the supply of long term evolution (LTE) equipment for the network roll-out in the Klang Valley. Based on the contract, NSN will supply and install a single-radio access network system and Flexi Multiradio 10 BTS. In addition, NSN will provide intelligent Self Organizing Network functionality to improve the quality of LTE services through self-optimisation and self-configuration features across the radio network. Celcom Axiata will use spectrum in the 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz bands to provide LTE services in the valley.
