Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Company of Manila Incorporated (AG&P) has awarded a contract to CB&I Storage Solutions, McDermott International Limited’s subsidiary, to construct, procure, and install a liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank for Philippines’ LNG import and regasification terminal. The terminal is currently under construction in Batangas, Philippines.
CB&I Storage Solutions will provide the first of two 60,000 cubic metre full containment steel LNG tanks, as well as undertake geotechnical inspection, soil improvement, framework and topside platform design, purging, and commissioning activities. The mechanical works are expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2023 with the purging and commissioning activities following later.
