Cambodia’s Techo International Airport is expected to commence passenger operations by mid-2025. The airport is being developed in three phases, with Phase I expected to handle 13 million passengers annually, Phase II is expected to handle 30 million passengers annually in 2030 and Phase III is expected to handle up to 50 million passengers annually in 2050.

Additionally, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Company Limited has invested USD1.5 billion in the construction of the airport. The airport is being constructed on an area of 2,600 hectares in southern Kandal and Takeo provinces.
