Cambodia’s Electricite Du Cambodge (EDC) has recently commissioned a new 230 kV substation and transmission line in the Tbong Khmum province.

EDC and the Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) funded the substation and line construction, which was carried out by carried out by EDC and China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC).

The substation will supply the Tbong Khmum province as a whole and also distribute power to the Prey Veng province through the 230 kV transmission line, which will conduct first-phase operations at 115 kV. The substation will also connect to the Svay Rieng province via existing 115 kV high-voltage transmission lines.
