According to reports, Cambodia will sign an agreement with the Japanese government to receive a $33.9 million grant for some of its development projects, three of which pertain to small hydropower dams. Of the total amount, $13.1 million will go towards the construction and rehabilitation of such dams in the north-eastern province of Ratanakkiri. Japan is the largest donor to Cambodia, followed by China.
