Thailand’s cabinet has approved the proposal of Thailand’s Ministry of Transport to construct a third runway at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport at a cost of about THB 21.8 billion ($679.98 million). Expected to be completed by 2021, the new runway will increase the airport’s present two-runway capacity from around 63 to 94 flights per hour.
