BuhaWind Energy Philippines, a joint venture (JV) between Copenhagen Energy and PetroGreen Energy Corporation, has secured National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) approval for the grid connection of its 2 GW floating offshore wind farm in Northern Luzon in the Philippines. This milestone enables the next development phase, including project design and grid connection scheduling.
The Northern Luzon project, part of a 4 GW portfolio of floating wind initiatives, is expected to be operational by 2030, with an additional 1 GW project planned for Northern Mindoro and East Panay.
