Brunei Shell Petroleum has awarded a one-well exploration contract to Maersk Drilling. The contract requires Maersk Viking drillship to drill one deep water exploration well offshore Brunei Darussalam. The contract value of the extension is approximately $7.1 million, including additional services provided. The contract has an estimated duration of 35 days, with work expected to start in May 2021 as agreed in the work scope. The 227-metre-long, seventh-generation drillship is expected to start drilling the first well for Brunei Shell Petroleum in March 2021.
