The Government of Brunei has unveiled a series of plans to modernise and future-proof the country’s aviation infrastructure as part of the broader vision under Brunei Vision 2035. The initiatives aim to upgrade runways, expand aircraft movement capabilities, and bolster system resilience to meet increasing demand and align with evolving global aviation standards.
The proposals include enhancements at key airport facilities, deployment of advanced navigation and safety systems, and investments to support sustainable operations over the longer term. The minister emphasised that these efforts would not only support greater connectivity and tourism growth but also create high-quality jobs while ensuring Brunei’s aviation sector remains competitive and resilient.
