Brunei’s Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications has launched the 5G Pilot Project in Bandar Seri Begawan under the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025’s strategic goals and priorities. The project is led by Brunei Darussalam’s Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI). Telecommunications networks and service providers, as well as industry stakeholders and players, such as Huawei Brunei, are involved.
The aim of the pilot project is to show 5G Proof-of-Concept network environments, encourage the value of high-speed 5G mobile communications, and raise awareness about the importance of accelerating 5G adoption. The project is part of a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness about 5G technology.
