Brunei’s Ministry of Development has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) in September 2015 for the Temburong Bridge project (Package IV). The estimated cost for the Temburong Bridge is around BND 1.6 billion ($1.13 billion). The construction is expected to be completed by 2019. The mega project was divided into six contract packages, with the first package awarded to the Brunei-Korea joint venture (JV) Daelim Swee, while Package IV was awarded to the JV of CSCEC and Ocean Quarry & Construction Sendirian Berhad. The contract value of the project is BND 448 million ($330 million). With an overall length of 30 km, the Brunei Temburong Bridge is to cross Brunei Bay connecting the Brunei Muara and Temburong areas. Package IV has a total length of 11.8 km covering 11 km of viaducts.
