Royal Boskalis Westminster has been awarded a contract to provide the land development design and construct a new international airport situated outside Manila. Around 1,700 hectares of land will be developed for the upcoming international airport in Bulacan, located 20 km north of Metro Manila. The land development will include dredging activities for which Boskalis will deploy a number of trailer suction hopper dredgers including its largest mega hopper dredgers and a large cutter suction dredger. Preparatory work is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2021 and the land development project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
