The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) in Thailand has signed a contract with the Bestling Group for the supply of 489 compressed natural gas (CNG)-fuelled buses. The Bestling Group is expected to supply these low-floor buses by end-2016. Moreover, the vehicles are to be equipped with services such as Wi-Fi, global positioning system, closed-circuit television, and an electronic ticketing system. Going forward, the BMTA plans to acquire 200 electric buses and recondition 672 existing buses.
