Malaysia-based Bintang Capital Partners Bhd (Bintang) has invested in Singapore-based Blue Planet Environmental Solutions Private Limited (Blue Planet) under its maiden fund, BCP Asia Fund I L.P (BCPAF I), to support sustainable waste management technologies and capacities. The investment amount hasn’t been disclosed.
The move will allow Blue Planet to process different types of waste in existing as well as new markets.
Blue Planet removes 15,200 metric tonnes of waste per day from existing landfills, generates 10,000 normal cubic metres of biogas from processing organic waste, and has repurposed over 800 acres of land from former landfills for public use.
