Binh Duong province’s first metro line, connecting Binh Duong New City to Ho Chi Minh City’s Suoi Tien, is set to begin construction in 2027 and be completed by 2031. Approved by the Binh Duong People’s Committee, the 32.4km line will include 19 stations and run through Tan Uyen, Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, and Di An, ending at Suoi Tien Station of Metro Line 1.
With an estimated investment of USD2.52 billion, the metro will operate at a speed of 120 km/hr, improving regional connectivity and easing congestion. The province is exploring official development assistance and budget capital to fund the project.
