The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has launched its second bidding process for work on the Long Thanh Airport’s passenger terminal. The package is worth USD 1.5 billion and includes the design, construction and installation of equipment at the terminal.
A pre-bid conference will be held in February 2023 to survey the opinions of interested bidders. Last date to submit bids is March 28, 2023 and the ACV plans on selecting the contractor before May 2023.
Eligible companies are required to have completed at least one special-level project. Vietnam-based companies are not eligible for the project. The contract will be for a period of 33 months. A proposal for extension will be considered.
The Long Thanh Airport project is estimated to cost USD16 billion. Work will be undertaken in three phases, with the first phase scheduled for completion in 2025. Once the final phase is completed, the facility will be able to handle around 100 million passengers per year. The first bidding process for the airport was cancelled in 2022 as applications did not meet the requirements.
