Power Project Management Board No.2 and joint venture (JV) comprising Risen Energy Company Limited and Tasco JSC Engineering have secured procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for the development of two solar projects in Vietnam. The bidding contracts have been signed for works on the Phuoc Thai 2 and Phuoc Thai 3 solar power plants located in Hanoi.

The facilities, which are located in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan, are owned by Vietnam Electricity and managed by the Power Project Management Board No.2, with a 220kV line linking them to the national grid.

The plants are expected to commence the generation of electricity by Q3 2022. They are estimated to add about 247 million kWh to Vietnam’s national grid once completed.
