Thailand-based B.Grimm Power Public Limited Company (BGRIM) has announced plans to increase installed capacity at its power facilities to 7,200 MW by 2025. Natural gas-fired cogeneration plants account for roughly 71 per cent of the company’s total installed producing capacity, while renewable or clean energy accounts for 29 per cent. The company has submitted proposals for the development of wind farms and natural gas-fired power plants in Vietnam, Malaysia, and South Korea. The deals are scheduled to be completed in the second part of 2021.

BGRIM has also announced plans to offer and issue new debentures worth THB8 billion, in addition to THB4 billion in greenshoe options. The revenues from the debentures will be used to fund power projects that will be implemented soon. Part of the THB12 billion comes from the company’s green bonds with a five-year maturity. BGRIM’s solar energy initiatives in Vietnam will receive 87 per cent of the revenues from the green bond, while the wind farm in the northern Thailand will receive roughly 13 per cent. BGRIM will offer all three tranches of debentures in July 2021.
