Berjaya Corp Berhad, in collaboration with the national government and the Pahang-state government, has announced plans to develop a new airport in Tioman Island to improve connectivity and further strengthen the country’s tourism in Tioman Island. The airport is expected to be constructed at an estimated investment of RMB 1.2 billion and will be financed through internal funds and borrowings. The services will be operated with two pre-owned ATR 42-500 aircraft with reconfigured interiors with each having a capacity to accommodate up to 36 passengers.
