Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with two China-based companies, SUS Environment and Power China International, for its Tam Sinh Nghia waste-to-energy (WtE) plant project in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The plant, located in Cu Chi district, will incinerate 2,000-2,600 tons of waste per day, covering 20-25 per cent of the city’s waste. Phase 1 of the project, with an investment of VND6.4 trillion, aims to generate clean energy from waste, contributing to the country’s environmental protection goals. Bamboo Capital Group acquired Tam Sinh Nghia Investment and Development Company earlier in 2024 to enter the WtE sector. Construction works for the plant began in July 2024.
