Indonesia’s largest bank by asset, Bank Mandiri has managed to secure a loan worth $100 million from Agence Francaise de Developpement, an investment firm owned by the French government, in order to fund its renewable and efficient energy projects. Since 2010, this is the second such credit facility procured by Mandiri from the investment firm. The current loan that has a 5–10-year term will be used for the development of renewable energy resources such as hydropower, biogas, etc.
