The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will establish additional motorcycle lanes in the city’s key roads to reduce the possibilities of a traffic accident in Thailand. Road infrastructure will be improved under Bangkok’s long-term development strategy that aims to achieve zero road traffic fatality by 2032.

Special lanes will be designated on the stretch between Lan Luang Road, Ratchadamnoen Avenue and the Somdet Phra Pinklao Bridge as part of a pilot project conducted by BMA. If the results from the pilot are optimal and shows a reduced rate of traffic fatality, the agency will then expand the road project to other roads in Bangkok in the future.
