The Malaysia-based Axiata Group is planning to sell around 40 per cent stake in its Cambodia-based wireless operator Smart Axiata. According to the company, the proceeds from the sale of shares will be used to pursue opportunities, including infrastructure expansion and future acquisitions in and around Cambodia. The Axiata Group reportedly holds around 92.5 per cent stake in Smart Axiata.
