Iceland-based Arctic Green Energy and Singapore-based GIC Private Limited, the national sovereign wealth fund, are collaborating to promote zero-carbon district heating in Asia. GIC, as a new shareholder and strategic partner, will provide transaction expertise, and key capital sources to assist Arctic Green’s expansion into the sustainable housing sector in Asia.
One of Arctic Green’s initiatives in the region is through the launch of Sinopec Green Energy, a geothermal enterprise that is jointly controlled by Sinopec and Arctic Green. Geothermal energy is a renewable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels for heating and cooling.
