The Government of the Philippines is seeking a USD300 million loan from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to fund works on the first phase of the Laguna Lakeshore Road Network (LLRN) project. The road project is estimated to cost PHP175.3 billion and will be co-financed by the Asian Development Bank (ABD).

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has proposed a multi-tranche financing facility for the LLRN project, with the first phase covering civil works and consulting service contracts.

The 37.4 km LLRN spans from Lower Bicutan to Calamba and is one of the high-impact infrastructure projects approved by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). There is no specific timeline for the project yet.

An environmental and social impact assessment study is currently being prepared.
