Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has announced the appointment of a Urjit Patel as the new vice president. He will be replacing DJ Pandian, who has served in the position since 2016. Headed by Jin Liqun, AIIB currently has five vice-presidents.
Patel is currently the chairperson of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. He previously served as the governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
