The Asian Development Bank (ADB) plans to lend USD4.3 billion per year till 2025 to the Government of the Philippines to finance infrastructure and climate change projects in the country.  Three key projects are expected to be financed under ADB’s lending program funds including the USD3.54 billion Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge project, USD1.1 billion Metro Rail Transit Line 4 (MRT-4) project and the USD854 million Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike.

Design for the Bataan-Cavite Interlink project is expected to be completed in 2023, after which it will be submitted for funding approvals. Both the MRT-4 and Laguna Lakeshore Expressway projects will be submitted to the ADB for funding approvals in 2024

Other projects are also being considered under ADB’s lending program including the Davao Public Transportation Modernisation Project and the Climate Change Action Program.
