ADB has approved a loan of 2.47 billion baht for a 57 MW solar power project in central Thailand. Of the total loan amount, ADB has provided a loan of 1.65 billion baht to Solarco, a solar developer owned by Yanhee EGCO Holding. Further, a loan of 957.8 million baht to Solarco will be financed by the ADB Clean Technology Fund. The project is part of Yanhee’s plan to increase its installed renewable energy capacity to over 300 MW by 2015. Currently, the company manages 64 MW of solar energy and 9.9 MW of biomass power projects.
