The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced the appointment of Jiro Tominaga as the new Country Director for Indonesia. He will be succeeding Winfried Wicklein, who has taken over as ADB’s deputy Director General for Southeast Asia (SEA). In his new position, Jiro Tominaga will head ADB’s operation in Indonesia and oversee the roll-out of ADB’s 2020–2024 country partnership strategy. He will also manage ADB’s interaction with the local and national Government of Indonesia and development partners.

Mr. Tominaga joined the ADB in 2015 as a principal planning and policy specialist as well as served as the Director of Strategy, Policy, and Business Process. He has also worked for the World Bank and the Ministry of Finance of Japan. He has 30-years of expertise on the use of information and communication technology in the delivery of public services.
