ACASIA Communications, an alliance of ASEAN telecommunications operators, has launched a new integrated data centre in Malaysia, by using the facilities of member companies. The ACASIA data centre, comprising over 300,000 square feet of floor space, is leveraging on the operations of 33 data centres run by seven operators – SingTel, CAT Thailand, PT Indosat, Philipines Long Distance Company, Telekom Brunei, Telekom Malaysia, and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group. These data centres offer co-location services, core network services, and other value-added services such as disaster recovery.
