Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has announced that Circle Line Stage 6 (CCL6) will open for passenger service on July 12, 2026, following a public preview scheduled for July 4, 2026. The 4 km extension includes three new underground stations — Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road — which will complete the Circle Line by connecting HarbourFront station to Marina Bay station.
With the opening of CCL6, the fully completed Circle Line will span 39 km across 33 stations, including 12 interchange stations linking with Singapore’s existing MRT corridors such as the North-South and East-West Lines, North East Line, Downtown Line and Thomson-East Coast Line. The new stations incorporate barrier-free access, tactile guidance systems, smart lighting, motion-sensor controls and hybrid cooling systems. Keppel station will support future developments in the Greater Southern Waterfront area, while Cantonment station integrates with the historic Tanjong Pagar Railway Station precinct. Prince Edward Road station will improve connectivity within the Shenton Way business district.
The completion of the Circle Line is expected to strengthen network resilience and improve connectivity between western, central and eastern parts of Singapore. According to LTA, commuters travelling between areas such as Telok Blangah and Marina Bay will be able to complete journeys without transfers, reducing travel time by around 10 minutes. The project also supports Singapore’s broader rail expansion and sustainable mobility strategy by improving integration with residential, employment and lifestyle hubs across the city-state.
