Handal Indah Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of HI Mobility Bhd and operator of the Causeway Link bus services, has won the Digital Transformation of the Year award at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2025, Malaysia. The award was presented in Kuala Lumpur and recognises the company’s efforts in delivering a seamless, cashless and data-driven transport experience.
The company was cited for its cross-border digital initiatives, including the introduction of cashless payments for Malaysia–Singapore bus services. Its in-house ecosystem integrates ManjaLink card tapping, open-loop contactless bank card payments and Mobile Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) to enable flexible, on-the-go ticketing. Handal Indah was also recognised for deploying a Smart Fleet Management System featuring real-time GPS tracking, route optimisation, driver performance analytics and predictive maintenance to improve operational reliability and fuel efficiency.
The operator’s digital transformation strategy is supported by centralised dashboards and automated reporting tools that enable real-time decision-making and service improvements. Through these initiatives, Handal Indah aims to enhance passenger convenience, operational efficiency and sustainability, reinforcing its commitment to smarter and more commuter-focused mobility solutions in Malaysia.
