Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Now Corporation’s telecommunications arm, Now Telecom, to strengthen the Philippines’ digital infrastructure and promote financial inclusivity.
Under the agreement, TCS will provide technology and expertise to expand secure national networks, develop a sovereign data cloud, and deliver cybersecurity solutions. The project aims to support citizen-focused services and ensure local control over sensitive data.
Both companies are part of the Trusted Network Alliance under the Trusted Network Initiative, which promotes secure telecommunications globally. The partnership aligns with the Philippine Department of Information and Communications Technology’s clean network principles.
TCS will deploy its SovereignSecure Cloud to build a local cloud infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence, operational continuity, and domestic capability-building. The company will also implement advanced security protocols through its Cyber Defense Suite, covering cyber intelligence, resilience, vendor risk management, and identity security.
Planned services include secure digital infrastructure for the public and private sectors, improved healthcare systems, and digital banking platforms to expand financial access. The initiative also aims to reduce reliance on foreign technologies, improve cross-agency coordination, and enhance resilience against cyber threats.
