The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has outlined a series of capital projects in its 2026 budget to enhance healthcare, mobility, and urban infrastructure across the city.

Key transport-related investments include the construction of BTS Skywalks, the development of a new pedestrian bridge over the Chao Phraya River, and the installation of 150 new bus shelters to improve commuter convenience and connectivity. The city also plans to undertake park upgrades as part of broader urban rejuvenation efforts.

In the healthcare sector, BMA is funding the development of Phra Mongkol Thepmunee Hospital in Phasi Charoen. The facility will include a new 10-storey main hospital building, a 12-storey support building, and a single-storey multi-purpose structure. The hospital, expected to be completed by 2027, will provide 150 beds and comprehensive outpatient and emergency services to residents of Phasi Charoen and surrounding districts such as Bang Khae, Thon Buri, and Taling Chan. The outpatient building has been operational since March 2024. The total budget allocated for the hospital is THB1 billion.

The full 2026 budget proposal is currently under review.
