Yana Ekasiwi, Area Sales Manager for Indonesia and Malaysia at Kapsch TrafficCom, has been appointed as a board member and Deputy Vice President of International Relations at ITS Indonesia. In her new role, she will lead international cooperation efforts and strengthen strategic partnerships that support the country’s transportation modernisation agenda. Ekasiwi is also co-organising Indonesia’s delegation to the ITS Asia Pacific Forum, scheduled for late May 2025 in Suwon, South Korea.
Indonesia, Southeast Asia’s largest economy with a population exceeding 280 million, is facing mounting transport challenges, including congestion, emissions, and complex connectivity across its many islands. The government is prioritising smart mobility through investments in toll roads, mass transit, and digital infrastructure. ITS Indonesia serves as a key platform for aligning public and private sector efforts, with Ekasiwi’s appointment signalling stronger global collaboration and expanded opportunities for innovative traffic and mobility solutions.
