Edotco, a subsidiary of Axiata has signed an agreement with Malaysian company Kejuruteraan Rasshin (KRSB) to develop digital infrastructure in Sarawak. Announced at Mobile World Congress 2025, the partnership will focus on deploying 4G and 5G-ready networks to support smart city initiatives, digital education, e-commerce, and government digitalisation in Malaysia. The initial phase will expand network coverage in commercial, industrial, and rural areas, improving high-speed connectivity in key economic zones.

Edotco stated that the collaboration aligns with Sarawak’s telecom investments, including the MYR2.25 billion infrastructure plan and the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030. The project supports the Sarawak Rural Broadband Network (MySRBN) and the state’s smart towers initiative.
