The Government of Indonesia has selected Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation to supply critical equipment for Unit 2 of the Patuha Geothermal Plant in West Java. This project, awarded by PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT), includes a steam turbine and generator that will add 60.3 MW to the plant’s capacity. The new unit, set to be operational in 2027, will bring the facility’s total capacity to 110 MW, supporting Indonesia’s growing energy demand and climate objectives.
The country aims to increase its geothermal capacity to 3.35 GW by 2030 as part of its broader 40.6 GW renewable energy target. The company’s advanced technology, such as the EtaPRO IoT solution, enhances efficiency and reliability, further solidifying its role in Indonesia’s sustainable energy transition.
