The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced plans to auction 28 large land plots valued at THB96 billion. These prime locations, many near railway stations and transportation hubs, have high commercial development potential. Some of the key plots include the Hua Hin Railway Golf Course, valued at THB2.2 billion, and the Makkasan Area development, with land prices ranging from THB836 million to THB24.94 billion. The auction is expected to generate significant revenue for the SRT, with the first phase beginning in 2025.

These auctions are part of SRT’s broader plan to increase income and optimise land use, aiming to raise its commercial revenue from THB3.7 billion to THB5 billion. The development of these sites will occur in phases, starting in 2025 with seven plots, and continuing through 2029. The plots being auctioned include key areas like the Bangkok Hua Lamphong Station and the Nong Khai Market, with estimated values ranging from THB119 million to THB9.95 billion.
