The Federal Government of Malaysia/ Kerajaan Persekutuan Malaysia has allocated funds for various transport sector initiatives in its budget for 2025.

The government has allocated over MYR270 million for implementing a stage bus programme in multiple cities in the country. Under the stage bus programme, buses are operated by private operator(s) for a fixed duration. 

The federal government has also allocated MYR10 million to develop bus-only lanes in Klang Valley, a major urban area in the country. These bus-only lanes will span 47 km. In addition, the federal government has announced plans to collaborate with Government-linked Companies (GLCs) and private sector entities to upgrade 100 bus stops in Klang Valley.
