Microsoft has signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with EDP Renewables (EDPR) to procure 200 MWp of solar power from the SolarNova 8 project in Singapore. This project, which will install solar panels across 1,075 public housing buildings and 101 government-owned buildings, is the largest solar initiative in Singapore.

The agreement allows Microsoft to secure renewable energy (RE) to meet its decarbonisation goals while supporting Singapore’s target of achieving 2 GWp of solar capacity by 2030. This deal builds on Microsoft’s global efforts to drive RE adoption, with similar agreements in the US, Europe, and India.
