Solarvest Holdings Bhd has secured a MYR113 million EPCC contract from P Solar Sdn Bhd for the construction of a 45 MWp solar farm in Mukim Pekan, Pahang, Malaysia. This project, part of the Corporate Green Power Program (CGPP), is expected to generate 57,500 MWh of clean energy annually, reducing around 36,800 tons of CO2 emissions.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and will also contribute nearly 60,000 Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). The farm incorporates monsoon-resistant designs and advanced panels and inverters. Further plans include exploring Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to enhance reliability.
Solarvest’s role in this project aligns with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), with both companies also considering further collaboration under the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) to meet the nation’s renewable energy target of 40 per cent by 2050.
