The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) has signed a USD25 million investment agreement with a Singapore-based Pacific Impact Development Private Limited to develop the renewable energy (RE) project in Quezon City, Philippines.

The project will be developed in different phases. Phase 1 will include a 25 MW solar power farm across 25 hectares of land, supplying power to APECO locators and selling to the grid. Meanwhile, in Phase 2, Pacific Impact plans to explore wind energy, building on its wind energy service contract from the Department of Energy (DOE) for a project in Albay.
