The Department of Transportation (DoTr) and the Manila International Airport Authority have signed a contract with SMC-SAP & Company Consortium to deliver the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) under the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme.

The consortium will be known as the New NAIA Infra Corporation and comprises San Miguel Holdings, RMM Asian Logistics, RLW Aviation Development, and Incheon International Airport.

Under the agreement, the private consortium will target to increase the airport capacity from 35 million passengers annually to 62 million passengers annually during a 15-year concession period.
