The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Port of Rotterdam Authority to establish a green maritime corridor to enable low and zero carbon shipping on the Asian-European shipping lanes.
In addition to conducting bunkering pilots, trials for digitalisation and the use of low- and zero-carbon fuels along the route, the partners will collaborate to increase investor trust, raise green funding, and promote green investments.
Singapore and Rotterdam are among the largest bunkering ports in the world.
